ABOUT ∞ Milan & Snezana Dobrojevic
The main field of interest of Milan Dobrojevic as an artist is fractals. His dedication to this kind of art through an excellent knowledge of computer and art technique give us a new moment and dimension of fractals as an art, not only in the esthetic point of view. His personal touch, deep inner self reflexion, and his will to progress further inside and in his entourage have a profound impact on his artistic work. Milan Dobrojevic has a large connection to many social and especially artistic network on internet, where other artists can view and all of them appreciate his new kind of figuring out fractals. His previous knowledge of applied art, sculpture, producing and composing music for many purposes (jingles, video clips and so on..) contribute to his specials kind of creating fractals as well. Milan Dobrojevic works and collaborates with his wife Snezana Dobrojevic, in top of media network, marketing, copywritting and above all a french translator and native speaker, related to art through her long living in France. FRACTALS
This is what FRACTAL FAQ says - fractal is a rough or fragmented geometric shape, that can be divided in parts, each of which is a small-shaped copy of the whole. They are mathematical structures known as Sierpinski triangle, Koch snowflake, Peano curve, Mandelbrot set, Lorenz attractor... they tend sometimes to resemble nature's creatures or shapes, so by looking at them you might see flowers, clouds even Buddha in some cases. Objects in nature are not formed as squares or triangles - coastlines resemble fractals for instance.
Many create fractals for fun, many create them as a way of artistic expression but mathematicians use fractals to describe, for instance, organic materials instead of using curves and lines, model soil erosion and to analyze seismic patterns. Fractals seem very complex, with random shape, but many of them are generated by using simple formula. Of course, Fractals and Chaos are more-less new branches of maths, since they cannot be explored without powerful computers.But fractals also can be described as a bond between maths and arts.
With the development of computer technology, traditional art got a companion - digital art. Fractal art is now considered a part of digital art movement. Fractals are not created for mathematical purposes any more - they became a thing of beauty. As much as computer is essential for fractal creation, it remains nearly a powerful tool - it takes a human eye to find a feeling, a message or a pure joy in shapes and colors of ''worlds within worlds'', as some say fractals are.
Fractals have been usually classified as psychedelic art, although there are plenty of them which don’t give us that kind of impression. In most of fractals you will find spirals, colors and shapes, which are easy to make in this field - if you start to create them you will notice that most of people who create fractals are still at previously mentioned level. Actually there are only 5% of people who deeply get in this field and make new way, which presents much more than only random psy art. From 2005. to 2011. I have created over 19,000 fractals with intention to technically improve and support new view on fractals.

Announcement for exhibition in New Moment gallery - prof. Djordje Kozic
Through centuries, in his own need for cognition, man has been confronting gradually, with new view of nature, and in certain periods of his progress he has been accepting new conceptions - new scientific paradigms. In last decades, fractal geometry and “chaos theory “ development, has made it possible for us to observe reality on a completely new way. We are not satisfy any more with classic mathematics, which is based on straight line and shows complete uselessness when we want to describe trees, rivers, clouds, lightning.. Now is created new multidiscipline science, which researches complexity in extensive signification. Allied with extraordinary possibilities of computers, it helps us to understand - how nature, on amazing way, creates 100 m high tree from such little seed. How one completely tenuous influence, such as spread of butterfly wings, can so much intensify, to completely change weather tomorrow. However, this time we can forget scientific aspects of fractals. Winner of the Nobel prize, Richard Feynman once said: "In carafe of vine is all physics... and molecules, and viscosity, and refraction of light... But we can drink that vine and forget all of it!" Alike, I suggest to forget about all scientific implications of fractal geometry and let us enjoy in visual – beauty and aesthetic of specialy designed fractal objects by Milan Dobrojevic. He shows us how he turned his PC into graphical laboratory, which can experimentize with chaos and produce these magic pictures. It’s hard to believe in fact, that they are based on simple algebraic terms. After all, behind those terms, is hiding one sophisticated knowledge about imaginary and complexity numbers, processes of recursive iterations, but first of all, one strong motivation for experimentation and creation of new art dimensions. |

Looping Constructs is a striking minimalistic fractal, beautifully balanced with contrasting (yet complementary) warm and cool tones. The bisecting design, color and use of space is pristine and the framed presentation is excellent. ~ To Paraphrase from the Suggester: 011Art is an amazing fractalist. His artwork varies from minimalism, to psychedelic, to geometric patterns! He lives as a professional fractal artist, whose art has been featured in galleries, on billboards, trucks, fashion etc...
